Will Hulk be involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Civil War? Star Mark Ruffalo is giving us the answer. While promoting his new film Spotlight at the Venice Film Festival, Mark Ruffalo revealed to a group of reporters that Hulk was originally set to appear in next summer’s Captain America: Civil War and appeared in the script, but was eventually taken out. The reason? Marvel apparently isn’t ready to reveal what happened to Hulk after he took off solo in a quinjet at the end of Age of Ultron and whatever happened to him is something really big that they want to keep secret for now. Ruffalo went on to say that he has no idea when or where Hulk will make an appearance next and could possibly never return. Something tells us that probably won’t happen and it is possible Ruffalo is just attempting to use this opportunity to throw us all off and make his appearance in the film a surprise. After all, Ruffalo was reportedly spotted in Berlin early last month hanging out with fellow Avengers Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie and before filming began had stated that fellow Science Bros Robert Downey Jr had told him he was in the film. If Hulk ends up sitting out the Civil War, his next likely appearance wouldn’t be until 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War Part 1. Hopefully we won’t have to wait that long for our Hulk fix, but what do you think?
