Hamm has been nominated for an Emmy 16 times! Yes i said 16. He's been nominated eight times for lead actor in a drama series for his role as Don Draper in Mad Men, four times for guest acting on 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and four times as a Mad Men producer. But until tonight, he had zero wins. so i think its safe to say that all tv show lovers were saying "Give this guy an Emmy Already!" Which totally explains why he launched on top of the stage to accept the award. After he climbed up the stage he received the nights first standing ovation…ok well actually there was the time everyone stood up for the emmy's accountants but that doesn't really count considering James peer pressured everyone to do it! Accepting the award, the 44-year-old actor said, “There’s been a mistake, clearly. It’s impossible to be named with all of those extraordinary gentlemen. It’s impossible to have done this show with this incredible cast, these incredible people, our incredible writers, our incredible crew. “And it’s incredible and impossible for me, personally, to be standing up here.” Very well deserved, 8 times a charm right?
